The Burmese is an elegant cat of a foreign type. In character they are alert, active, intelligent, extremely friendly and affectionate. These lively felines are extremely affectionate, and great fun too - they really love to play and many have an impressive list of past adventures and amusing escapades. Burmese are also very sociable, talkative and, according to some, intuitive with the ability to sense what you’re feeling.
An elegant, muscular cat, this breed's short coat has a satin-like sheen. The brown Burmese is the best known, but other colours are available. The eyes are larhe and yellow.
