Imitating the natural beauty of larger felines such as the ocelot, the leopard and the jaguar, the Ocicat has an affectionate disposition. It is often said that the Ocicat has dog-like tendencies as they tend to be devoted to people. They are intelligent cats and can even be trained to respond to simple commands. They are also confident with children. Being sociable, they should not be left alone for long periods, ideally having a companion animal for company.
This is a medium to large, athletic cat, with a sleek, spotted shorthair coat. The eyes are large and almond-shaped.
