Intelligence: Very much
Quiet: Not especially
Good with dogs?: Very much
Good with children: Very much
Love the outdoors?: Reasonably
Grooming: Reasonably

With beautiful springy fur, sparkling eyes and enchanting chirrups the Siberian is a very special kitty. The breed is said to have less of the allergen Fel d1 in their saliva, which is deposited onto the skin during grooming, making these cats more suitable for allergy suffers, although this has not been proven scientifically. They make good house cats, but are not always happy to be left alone so it may be best to have two for company if you are at work for long periods.

This medium to large semi-longhaired breed has a weatherproof coat consisting of a soft, dense undercoat covered by a coarser topcoat. The head is a broad wedge with rounded contours.

Remember! All breed profiles are general and every cat is an individual.
