Unfortunately in May Charlie suffered again, but this time he was killed outright by a train. As we get used to having no purring next to our ear at night, or precariously balancing on the bath rim whenever you took a bath, the neighbourhood too seems a little sadder. Stories are now emerging about how he use to visit half a dozen or so houses and say hello to their dogs or just want a fuss. We see commuters looking for him as usually he was outside 'meeting and greeting' each morning... perhaps he was too inquisitive and friendly but certainly made cat ownership a privilege. We had only just had a baby too and Charlie proved all the 'cats hates babies' stories wrong and was as good as gold. It's such a shame and we'll miss him dearly – may he be chasing bunnies forever. ![]() Charlie had an unusual best friend - Archie! You can add comments to these diary entries by emailing

You may remember Charlie, my little
white cat from last year's Charlie's diary that ran in Your Cat each
month, following his growth from 8 weeks to a year. When Charlie was
knocked over by a car, we also featured his recovery on our website,
with a 24 hour webcam monitoring his progress. Charlie proved a
fighter, and came through the ordeal as good as new!
