 A cat who was rescued from the River Nene has had a happy ending after being reunited with his relieved owner. The ginger cat was stranded on a section of sheet piling on August 13 and was rescued by Wisbech Harbour Master Peter Harvey and colleague Paul Coupland. He was taken to Wisbech Veterinary Clinic on Nene Parade where he was found to be in a good condition, despite his ordeal.(Fenland Citizen) Head nurse Stacey Godbold said: “Apart from being a little wet he was in very good condition so we knew he was owned by someone. It’s nice for him to go back to his owners rather than have to be rehomed.” Stacey said it can be hard to reunite lost cats with their owners, but luckily this cat, nicknamed ‘Ginger’ by staff at the vets, was wearing a distinctive collar. |
