A small fire station cat in Vancouver has let curiosity get the better of him, which resulted in his head getting stuck in a glass jar.

Of all the places for a cat to get into trouble, a fire station is a pretty safe option, as Ralph the cat found out.

After leaving the station for a few days holiday, crews from Vancouver’s station 85 came back to discover Ralph lying on a table with his head firmly stuck in a jam-jar.

Despite both Ralph and the fire crew’s best efforts, the cat’s head would not move an inch.

After several failed attempts, Ralph’s head was finally extricated with the help of some grease.

The crew of station 85 still have no idea how Ralph’s head got stuck in the jar, or how long he had been trapped, but they have now ensured that all jars are well out of reach.
