I was out shopping today (day off) and saw a book in WH smith called Cleo. Its a true story about a family who persuaded by their little boy get a kitten and about a week after they get the kitten they lose their son and then I think it then follows how the kitten helps the family cope with their loss.
Ive told my OH to get it for my upcoming birthday, even though I know I will cry when I read it, it looks like a great book.

The best cat book ever for me would have to be "The Cat Who Looked At The Sky" by Thea Welsh. It is an Australian book, so I'm not sure if you can get it in the UK. She writes so brilliantly and entertainingly about her three cats that they really come alive off the page. She and her husband have an interesting arrangement where they share two of their cats with another couple for part of the year. Apparently, it works - the other couple even have different names that they use for the cats when they have them!

I also loved Peter Gethers' book "The Cat Who Went to Paris", a very funny book by an American author who originally hated cats but ended up falling in love with a Scottish Fold given to him by his girlfriend. It's funny how guys can be turned around in their attitude towards cats. When I met my partner he was more of a dog lover, but now he adores cats and we have 5 cats between us!

Is that the one mentioned on the Home page here? If so, probably is on sale in the Your Cat bookshop. So many lovely books around, need more reading time!
