Taking your cat to the vet’s can be a traumatic experience — and not just for your pet! That’s why this issue sees the start of a new three-part series aimed at making the whole process easier. This month we take a closer look at what makes a cat-friendly clinic, and we’ll be following it up with advice on the best way to transport your cat to the vet’s (April), and how to minimise his stress when you get there (May).
Ever wondered about the work of a cat behaviourist? This issue we demystify what behaviourists do, and explain how they could be able to help you and your pet.
We all fell in love with Mr Tibbs this issue, after seeing the photos of him with his woolly friends. The remarkable bond this cat shares with the sheep on his owners’ Devon smallholding needs to be seen to be believed. So waste no time in getting the full story on this brave, characterful feline. It’s a ewe-nique friendship!
We’re also discovering more about cats in Turkey, visiting a couple of hard-working charities, one in the UK and the other in the beautiful Algarve region of Portugal, getting to know the elegant Korat in our breed profile, and enjoying the photographic wizardry of social media sensation Villager Jim, who’s been snapping cats in the country.
It all adds up to an entertaining and informative Your Cat this month — so settle down and enjoy. Until next month…
