Issue Summary

As we head firmly into spring, it will be a relief to see the back of the cold and very wet weather. While winter has a charm, which is all about curling up in the warmth — with our feline friends, of course — it will be nice to enjoy better weather and the sense of new beginnings that beckon us with spring. That was at the forefront of my mind with the new ‘There’s no place like home’ series starting this month.

What's in this Issue?

As we head firmly into spring, it will be a relief to see the back of the cold and very wet weather. While winter has a charm, which is all about curling up in the warmth — with our feline friends, of course — it will be nice to enjoy better weather and the sense of new beginnings that beckon us with spring.

That was at the forefront of my mind with the new ‘There’s no place like home’ series starting this month. We’re meeting cats who live in interesting places, kicking off with cats who live on boats (page 44). What a fascinating experience of being a cat owner — and it certainly has more appeal in the nicer weather!

You don’t have to be that adventurous though to see spring as a time of new possibilities. I was struck by this month’s ‘True Cat Tale’ (page 43) as a welcome reminder that a new perspective can bring that extra bit of joy to having a feline companion — even in the most essential things we do for our kitties.

There is a light-hearted nod to the possibilities of what life with our kitties can hold, with the feature looking at feline astrology (page 56). The extract from a new book is just a bit of fun to see if we can see any likeness between our cats and their kitty horoscopes. If there is any serious message to be taken, it’s that the future is up for grabs to shape into what we want — is there anything you would do to make even more of life with your feline friend?

This issue is full of stories about cats that you won’t find anywhere else — so if you are looking to embrace new beginnings, you may find some inspiration!

Until next month, have a great time with your cats.
