Issue Summary
The new normal — it’s not a phrase that is popular with everyone, as it conjures up an image of accepting restrictions on our freedoms in the longer-term. Wherever you stand on the term, I actually think it really resonates when thinking of our cats.

What's in this Issue?
We’re starting to emerge from the pandemic, with people heading out more to work and to events. If you’re like me, having more contact with people is something I am really enjoying. You quickly realise that Zoom will never be able to replace face to face contact. For millions of owners, it is likely — whether that is for work or social events — that they are going to be leaving their cat at home alone far more than they have done in the last 18 months.
For felines, who live very much in the here and now, it will truly be a new normal. They will be adjusting to having more of their own space (many will relish it!) in the house and it is important for us to help our cats adjust. In this issue, renowned behaviourist Peter Neville lays out what you can expect from your cat and what you can do to help ease them into a new routine. It’s a great read and sure to help your cat adjust so you’ll feel happier leaving the house.
