On first opening up the box, I immediately saw a pair of cute, fluffy slipper socks with paw prints (for me, of course), which I thought were a nice little touch, especially for the cold weather we’re currently having, and as we know, just like our cats, us cat ladies love to keep warm!
Then, my attention turned to the 2-metre long tailed felt cat toy, more commonly known as ‘Monte Mouse’. I noticed the toy was handmade from 100% wool, and seemed great for encouraging your cat to play, by releasing their inner hunter and wearing off any pent-up energy, by leaping and running around.
The box also contains some cat food and treats from Vet’s Kitchen. The ‘Little Hearts’ treats have a cute, love-themed packaging, and the mix of chicken and duck, hunter’s game, and salmon and trout seem to have gone down well so far – although she’s only had a couple this morning.
There’s also a packet of Catnip sticks, which are meant to be good for dental hygiene and also stimulating playful behaviour, and a sweet catnip-filled love heart toy from King Catnip. I am yet to try these out on Epi, as she can sometimes get a little too excitable over catnip!
Last but not least, the other items for the owner are a lovely door hanging sign saying ‘All you need is love and a cat’ (very true) from Sass & Belle, and a packet of handmade Belgium Valentine’s chocolates from Henley Chocolates – yum!*
Overall, the ‘Take Meowt’ Valentine’s special box has been a wonderful treat for both myself and Epi this month, and I think anyone would be lucky to receive such a well thought out and put together gift box as a Valentine’s Day present.
