The staff at RSPCA South Godstone Animal Centre in Surrey are taking part in a ‘spooky’ cattery sleepover tonight (October 24, 2018) to raise much-needed funds for the 61 cats currently in their care.
The sponsored sleepover will take place on Wednesday October 24 with four members of staff camping out overnight in the main corridor area of the cattery alongside the cat pods.
The cattery has also been decorated in a Halloween theme and its residents have even been given spooky names.
Elizabeth Forbes-Dale, cattery supervisor at RSPCA South Godstone, said: “We’ve been getting into the spirit of all things Halloween and thought the cattery sleepover would be a great idea to raise much-needed funds for enrichment and equipment in the cattery. We currently have 61 cats in our care and we’d love to be able to provide them with more toys, scratching posts and food.
“We have a collection tin in our reception but people can also support us by sponsoring the sleepover on Paypal, or they can donate items directly such as cat and kitten food, scratching pads and activity feeders. Anything they can give is much appreciated.”
