Your Cat Good Causes has donated a bundle of cat bedding to Wellcat, an independent Birmingham-based cat rescue centre, just in time for the cold winter months.
Last month, Your Cat launched Good Causes, a new initiative that pledges at least 30% of subscription proceeds go to community cat projects in the UK. As the winter months approach, they are reaching out to help independent cat rescue centres keep their feline residents warm, with their ongoing Blanket Appeal.
Bundles of Vetbed bedding have been sent to multiple independent cat rescue centres across the UK, including Frankley-based, Wellcat. Founded in 1987, the charity is dedicated to the rescue, welfare, and rehabilitation of cats and kittens, run by volunteers, and solely rely on donations.
The residents at Wellcat now have that little bit more comfort and cosiness, as the donated bedding is renowned for being hard-wearing and luxurious, with great heat retention, perfect for the upcoming colder months.
Donna Kyriacou who runs Wellcat said: “We would like to say a special thank you to Your Cat for donating these amazing, fluffy blankets for the rescue cats. When we first gave them to the cats, they were an instant hit and most of the cats even paddy-pawed them! They are certainly going to come in good use this winter to keep the cats warm. Donations no matter how big or small are always gratefully accepted and make a huge difference towards the cats in our care. We can’t do what we do without the generous public, so thank you!”
