Set a new world record!
Animal lovers are being urged to don their cat ears to help Blue Cross set a new world record.
Blue Cross needs 500 willing supporters to dress head to toe as a cat at their rehoming centre in Burford, Oxfordshire to set the new world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as cats.
The record attempt will take place on Sunday May 14 during a family fun day at the centre on Shilton Road.
To be counted as part of the record attempt, people will need to have a full head to toe cat costume including ears, tail and whiskers, which may be painted on their face.
Alongside the record attempt, there will be a fun day from 11am to 4pm for all the family with a dog show, fun fair, live music and games.
Entry to the fun day is £1, and children under the age of 16 go free.
Jenna Martyn, Blue Cross Burford centre manager, said: “We are looking forward to seeing lots of people putting their best paw forward on the day.
“Not only will we be bidding for a new world record but also raising awareness of the work Blue Cross does and funds to help our charity continues its work across the country.”
To take part in the world record attempt, people need to register in advance by going to the Blue Cross website.
