Your Cat donates £250 to Shropshire Cat Rescue to help fund improvements to their ‘Moggies Retirement Village’.

Shropshire Cat Rescue provide the Shrewsbury/ Shropshire area shelter, food, and vetinary care for homeless, stray, abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens. They also help feral cats with veterinary care and neutering. They are home to the Moggies Retirement Village, (which started in 2009 with an old cat called Betty) where they allow older cats with health issues to live out the last of their years with dignity and comfort.

“We are currently in the process of paving a lot of our shelter, the cats have shown they much prefer sprawling out on the smooth paving and we are hoping to pave our Retirement Village,” says volunteer Rachael Ashton.

This will mean cats like Titch (above), who is blind, will be able to move around more freely without stumbling on the current stone pathway. Your Cat’s donation will go towards getting this project completed. We are incredibly honoured to have been chosen for this prize and will make sure it is put to good use.”

Did you know? Your Cat Good Causes has given away over £4000 in the past 12 months to rescue centres and projects to help cats across the UK.
