Did you know that nearly two-thirds (64%) of pet owners have more photos of their pets than of themselves? It’s a heartwarming testament to the deep bond we share with our feline companions. Now, WHISKAS® is turning that everyday affection into the purrfect moment for our everyday icons to take center stage – from paw-traits to posters - with a chance to feature in the brand’s next global campaign.

With millions of cats fed WHISKAS® globally, the iconic brand is setting out to create the biggest cat casting call, inviting proud cat parents and WHISKAS® loving cats everywhere to put their feline-filled photo albums to use and let their furry friends shine.

With a chance to feature front and centre, the upcoming campaign is a celebration of all furry companions, aiming to feature up to 60 cats from all walks of life and from the four corners of the globe, including cats from Europe, Asia, South America and North America and is set to launch in early 2026.

From fluffies to grumpies, adult cats to kittens, and even ‘moustache cats’ – WHISKAS® panel of judges will be selecting a diverse range of feline stars to be featured based on pawsonality, presence and photo appeal. 

This comes as new research from WHISKAS® reveals a third of cat owners (35%) say cats are easier to understand than humans.

What’s more;

  • 65% say friends and family don't understand the bond they have with their cats
  • 41% value their cat more than people
  • 49% have gone as far as buying personal furniture including a throne and a heated sofa for their pe

 

The casting call is now open and runs until 15th August. Entering couldn’t be easier; cat owners just need to DM photos of their cat to the official WHISKAS® Instagram (@WHISKAS).
